The Role: Graduate Teaching Assistant

In this rewarding role, you'll support students with additional learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. You'll work closely with teachers and the SEN team to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.

  • Provide one-to-one and small group interventions for students with additional needs.

  • Assist in developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

  • Help track and record student progress, ensuring personalised support.

  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes student wellbeing.


About You

We're looking for graduates who are passionate about education and eager to learn.

Essential Qualities:

  • Genuine interest in working with young people and supporting SEN.

  • Empathetic, patient, and adaptable approach.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Positive attitude with good organisational skills.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree (any subject).

  • Previous experience with children or young people is desirable.

  • Full-time availability from November for at least two terms.

  • Enhanced DBS and references covering the last 10 years.

  • Right to work in the UK.
