Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a reputable and forward-thinking Secondary School in Cheshire East, who are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic educator to inspire the next generation of digital innovators in a school that places high value on creativity, ambition, and academic achievement.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging and well-structured Computer Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will be joining a supportive department equipped with modern technology and resources, enabling you to deliver high-quality teaching and foster curiosity in areas such as programming, algorithms, digital systems, and computational thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering inclusive and innovative Computer Science lessons

  • Assessing, tracking, and reporting on student progress

  • Creating a stimulating classroom environment that promotes active learning

  • Supporting pupils of varying abilities to achieve their full potential

  • Contributing to departmental planning, curriculum development, and extracurricular opportunities

  • Maintaining high standards of behaviour and engagement

This role is suitable for both experienced teachers and strong ECTs who are eager to develop their practice within a supportive environment. The school has an excellent record of mentoring new staff and promotes continuous professional learning.

Candidate Requirements:

  • QTS or QTLS specialising in Computer Science (or relevant subject)

  • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for technology and digital literacy

  • Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills

  • A proactive and reflective approach to teaching

  • A current DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
