Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant - Alternative Provision
Location: Preston
Full-Time | Mon-Fri | 8:30am-3:30pm | Term Time Only
Pay: £90-£121.89 per day

Tradewind are seeking enthusiastic and resilient Behaviour Support Teaching Assistants to join an alternative provision within Preston within there Pastoral Team
You will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, building strong relationships, and helping create a safe, calm, and supportive learning environment for students with social, emotional, or behavioural needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support students 1:1 and in small groups with behaviour and engagement.
- Implement behaviour strategies outlined in support plans.
- Work closely with teaching staff to maintain a positive classroom environment.
- Build consistent, trusting relationships with students.
- Assist in creating and reviewing Individual Behaviour Plans (IBPs).
- Liaise with parents/carers, SENCO, and external professionals.
- Record and monitor behaviour and intervention outcomes.
- Support students during break and lunchtime.

- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Calm, patient, and resilient in challenging situations.
- Experience in education, behaviour support, or youth work (desirable).
- Good organisational skills and basic IT competence.
