Do you want to gain hands-on experience in schools while developing your understanding of behaviour, mental health, and learning needs? We're looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Psychology Graduates to support schools across the Wirral, with immediate opportunities available.
About the Role:
We are seeking full-time Psychology Graduates to work within secondary settings, supporting students with social, emotional, behavioural, or additional learning needs. You'll work closely with teachers, SEN teams, and pastoral staff to provide structured support that helps students build resilience, confidence, and positive learning habits. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering careers in educational psychology, teaching, counselling, or mental health.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students 1:1 or in small groups to develop emotional regulation and positive behaviour
* Assist with tailored interventions for students with SEND, SEMH, or communication needs
* Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral teams to remove barriers to learning
* Build trusting relationships with pupils to improve engagement and wellbeing
* Observe and report on behavioural patterns to help inform support strategies
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
What We're Looking For:
* A degree in Psychology (or closely related field)
* A passion for working with children and young people
* Strong communication, empathy, and relationship-building skills
* A patient, proactive, and resilient approach
* A genuine interest in SEND, mental health, or behaviour support
* A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
Desirable (but not essential):
* Experience supporting children, young people, or vulnerable groups
* Knowledge of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, or behaviour strategies
