We're looking for enthusiastic and reliable Science Technicians / Science Graduates to join secondary schools across the Wirral.

About the Role:

We are seeking full-time Science Technicians or graduates with a strong scientific background to support the delivery of practical lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. You'll work closely with teaching staff to prepare equipment, set up experiments, maintain laboratory spaces, and ensure all health and safety procedures are followed. This role is perfect for science graduates considering a future in teaching, laboratory work, or education-based careers.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare, set up, and dismantle equipment for practical science lessons
* Support teachers during experiments and demonstrations
* Ensure safe storage, handling, and disposal of chemicals and laboratory materials
* Maintain clean, organised, and well-stocked prep rooms and labs
* Assist with the maintenance and repair of scientific equipment
* Follow strict health and safety procedures and update risk assessments where needed
* Support the wider science department with administrative and organisational tasks

What We're Looking For:

* A degree in a Science subject or previous experience as a Science or Lab Technician
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* A good understanding of laboratory safety and procedures
* Enthusiasm for science and education
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)

Desirable (but not essential):

* Experience working in a school laboratory
* Knowledge of CLEAPSS guidance and school lab safety practices
