SEN Teaching Assistant - Westminster
Location: Westminster
Contract: ASAP - July 2026 (with the possibility of extension)
Working Hours: Full-time, term-time only
Key Stages: Supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2 (primary)
Salary: £95 - £105 per day (depending on experience)

Tradewind Recruitment are working with a warm, welcoming SEN provision in Westminster that supports children with a range of special educational needs, including Autism (ASD), speech and language needs, and moderate learning difficulties. The school is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their friendly, supportive team. Staff pride themselves on creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where every pupil is encouraged to thrive.

About the Role

  • Supporting pupils with SEN within small, structured classes (approx. 8-10 children)

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support

  • Assisting with communication, emotional regulation, and personalised learning

  • Working closely with teachers, the SENCO, and therapists to meet pupils' individual needs

  • Helping to create a calm, positive and enabling learning environment

No formal child-based qualifications required

Just an open mind, a genuine passion for supporting children with SEN, and a willingness to learn.


Compliance Required:

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Two recent education-related references

  • Full, up-to-date CV

  • Proof of address and photo ID

  • Overseas police checks (if applicable)

  • Safeguarding training (Tradewind can provide this)
