Role Overview
As an Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome social, emotional, and behavioural challenges so they can thrive both academically and personally. Working closely with pastoral teams, SEN staff, and teaching colleagues, you'll provide targeted support to ensure every student has the tools they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small-group support for students with additional needs
Assist in developing personalised strategies to improve engagement and wellbeing
Support the delivery of behaviour and inclusion interventions
Build positive, trusting relationships with students, promoting resilience and self-esteem
Liaise with teachers, parents/carers, and external agencies where appropriate
Maintain accurate records and contribute to support plans
Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive school environment
Ideal Candidate
Experience working with children or young people in an educational, youth work, or support role
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
Understanding of SEND, safeguarding, and pastoral support
A desire to make a meaningful difference in learners' lives
