📘 About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring students remain engaged, safe, and on task. You will deliver pre-prepared lessons, manage behaviour effectively, and support pupils as needed.

Key responsibilities include:
* Supervising classes during teacher absence
* Delivering pre-set lessons and explaining tasks clearly
* Managing behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment
* Supporting students with their work and responding to questions
* Recording attendance and monitoring behaviour
* Following school policies, including safeguarding and behaviour procedures
* Working collaboratively with staff to support the smooth running of the school day

👤 About You

We are looking for someone who:
* Has experience working with children or young people (e.g., schools, youth groups, sports coaching)
* Holds a degree in a relevant subject
* Is confident, adaptable, and able to manage classroom behaviour effectively
* Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Can follow instructions and work independently
* Is reliable, punctual, and professional
* Has a calm, supportive manner and a good understanding of safeguarding
* A relevant qualification such as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant is desirable but not essential
