History Teacher - Reading, Berkshire

An independent school setting in Reading, Berkshire is seeking a committed History Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to contribute to KS5 learning. This is a fantastic role for an experienced educator with a proven background in Secondary History teaching.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and lead well-structured schemes of work and lesson plans aligned with the mission and curriculum.
  • Provide high-quality feedback - oral and written, to support pupil progression.
  • Collaborate with SENCO to prepare and review IEPs and support SEND learners effectively.
  • Maintain excellent standards of behaviour through consistency and positive modelling.

Requirements

  • QTS and relevant degree in History (ideal)
  • Experience teaching KS3-4 History (essential) - KS5 desirable.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, CPD and inclusive learning.
  • A proactive and dynamic teaching method and mindset.
