Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant - Autism Specialist (Non-Verbal Support)
Location: North Nottingham
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

The Role
We are seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. You will work closely with teachers, therapists, and families to support pupils' learning, communication, and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for non-verbal children with autism.
- Use alternative communication methods (e.g., PECS, Makaton, AAC devices).
- Assist with personal care and sensory needs where required.
- Foster a calm, structured, and engaging learning environment.
- Collaborate with the wider team to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with children with autism and/or non-verbal communication needs (preferred but not essential).
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to each child's unique needs.
