A welcoming and popular primary school in Colchester is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to join their team from January 2026, working full time until July 2026.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that support strong progress in Upper Key Stage 2

  • Have a solid understanding of Year 5 curriculum expectations and assessment practices

  • Build positive, supportive relationships with pupils, encouraging both academic achievement and personal growth

  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management rooted in consistency, respect, and clear expectations

  • Show excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach to planning and teamwork

  • Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and senior leaders

  • Contribute to a positive school culture and wider school life
