KS1 Teaching Assistant - Camden
Start Date: ASAP - July 2026
Hours: Full-time, 8:30am - 4:00pm
Location: Accessible by bus or tube (nearest station: Warren Street)
About the Role
Tradewind is partnering with a welcoming Camden primary school renowned for its excellent SEN provision. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Year 2 Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex ASD. This is a long-term, rewarding position working with children on a personalised curriculum.
Key Responsibilities - SEN Teaching Assistant:
Support Year 2 pupils with ASD in class and small group settings
Deliver personalised curriculum activities, including art, sensory play, singing, and motor skills development
Collaborate closely with the class teacher and SEN team
Encourage pupil engagement, communication, and independence
Implement structured interventions
Experience with PECS and Attention Autism is desirable

A strong communicator with good oracy skills
Excellent at time-keeping
Available full-time with no pre-booked holidays during term time
Compliance Requirements:
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
Right to work in the UK
Two professional references covering the last two years
Full employment history with explanations for any gaps
Proof of address
Overseas police checks if applicable
