Learning Support Assistant - Towcester

Our partner secondary schools in Towcester are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join their teams from January 2026. This long-term role offers an excellent opportunity to make a genuine difference to students who need additional support.

This is a highly valued position within the school community, where you will work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams to ensure every student feels supported, included, and able to thrive.

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Support students with additional needs on a 1:1 basis or in small groups

  • Help pupils stay focused, engaged, and confident in lessons

  • Assist teachers with adapted resources and classroom organisation

  • Work with students with SEND, including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and SEMH needs

  • Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and self-esteem

  • Contribute to a safe, welcoming, and inclusive school environment

We're Looking for Someone Who:

  • Has a genuine interest in supporting young people and inclusive education

  • Is patient, calm, and approachable, with strong relationship-building skills

  • Communicates effectively with both students and staff

  • Can adapt to a variety of needs throughout the school day

  • Has experience working with children or young people (school-based experience is desirable but not essential)

  • Is reliable, friendly, and eager to develop new skills
