SANZA Teaching Agency is delighted to be recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Class Teacher for a thriving 4-form entry primary school in Hackney. Rated Good by Ofsted, this inclusive and forward-thinking school is seeking a nurturing and committed KS1 teacher to join their supportive team from January 2025.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils through the important transition at the end of Key Stage 1.

About the Role

As the Year 2 Class Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum
  • Support pupils through the transition towards end-of-key-stage expectations
  • Deliver high-quality teaching in phonics, reading, writing and mathematics
  • Track pupil progress effectively and adapt teaching to meet individual needs
  • Create a positive, structured and inclusive classroom environment
  • Work closely with the KS1 team to plan, assess and share best practice

Who We're Looking For

  • Qualified Primary Teacher with QTS
  • Experience teaching within KS1, ideally Year 1 or Year 2
  • A reflective, nurturing practitioner with high expectations
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • A committed and enthusiastic teacher who puts pupils first
