Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - Wirral

Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain hands-on experience supporting young people in a secondary school setting?

We're seeking a motivated Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Wirral, working closely with pupils to help them engage, progress, and succeed.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons across the curriculum

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support, particularly for students with additional learning, behavioural, or emotional needs

  • Applying psychological principles to help pupils manage behaviour, build confidence, and develop positive learning strategies

  • Supporting students with SEND, SEMH, or EAL needs

  • Encouraging motivation, resilience, and positive relationships within the classroom

What we're looking for:

  • A Psychology graduate (or related degree) keen to gain experience in education

  • Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm during term time

  • An interest in child development, mental health, or educational psychology

  • Confidence working with pupils aged 11-16 across a range of abilities

  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting young people
