Caretaker - Secondary Schools (Lewisham)

Full-time | 5 days per week

We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and committed Caretaker to join our team, working across a range of inclusive and supportive secondary schools in Lewisham.

The Role

As a Caretaker, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day running of the school site, ensuring that the premises are safe, clean, and well maintained for students, staff, and visitors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Opening and securing school buildings

  • General maintenance, repairs, and basic DIY tasks

  • Health & safety checks and compliance

  • Monitoring site security and reporting issues

  • Liaising with school staff and contractors

  • Supporting with room setups and school events as required

  • Ensuring the school environment remains clean, safe, and presentable

The Ideal Candidate

  • Willingness to work across different school sites within Lewisham
