Tradewind Recruitment is working closely with a range of secondary schools across Barnsley and is currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to support with day-to-day and short-term cover.

The Role

  • Supervising classes during teacher absences

  • Delivering pre-set lesson materials and instructions

  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies

  • Supporting students to stay on task and engaged

  • Reporting back to teaching staff at the end of the lesson

Requirements

  • Experience working with young people (school-based experience desirable)

  • Strong communication and classroom management skills

  • A confident, professional, and adaptable approach

  • A commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
