Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with one of our Cheshire West and Chester client secondary schools to recruit a Food Technology Technician for an immediate start, continuing until February half-term.

This is a part-time supply role, ideal for an experienced Food Technology Technician, Design & Technology Technician, or school-based technician looking for short-term work within a supportive and well-led secondary school environment.

The Role:

• Position: Food Technology Technician / DT Technician
• Location: Cheshire West and Chester
• Start Date: Immediate
• Duration: Until February half-term
• Hours: 9:00am - 2:30pm
• Pay: Negotiable, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing ingredients, materials and equipment for Food Technology lessons (KS3 & KS4)
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety and food hygiene regulations
• Maintaining and organising the food technology classroom and storage areas
• Supporting teaching staff during practical lessons
• Cleaning, stock control and safe storage of equipment

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience as a Food Technology Technician, DT Technician or similar school-based role
• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and risk assessments
• Experience working within a secondary school environment preferred
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently
