Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs across schools in the Grantham area. You will play a key role in helping children access the curriculum, develop skills, and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support individual pupils and small groups in classroom activities.

  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons tailored to pupils' needs.

  • Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies.

  • Promote positive behaviour, confidence, and social development.

  • Support pupils with personal care, communication, and interaction where required.

  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and other professionals to support pupils' progress.

Skills & Qualities:

  • Experience supporting children with special educational needs is desirable but not essential.

  • Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Flexibility to adapt to different classroom settings and pupil needs.

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, NVQ) are a plus.
