Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs across schools in the Grantham area. You will play a key role in helping children access the curriculum, develop skills, and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Support individual pupils and small groups in classroom activities.
Assist teachers in delivering lessons tailored to pupils' needs.
Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies.
Promote positive behaviour, confidence, and social development.
Support pupils with personal care, communication, and interaction where required.
Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and other professionals to support pupils' progress.
Skills & Qualities:
Experience supporting children with special educational needs is desirable but not essential.
Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to adapt to different classroom settings and pupil needs.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, NVQ) are a plus.
