SEN Teaching Assistant - Sheffield (S5)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Fixed term until July 2026 (with potential to extend)
Hours:

  • Monday - Thursday: 8:00am - 3:00pm

  • Friday: 8:00am - 1:00pm

Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with a specialist SEN school in Sheffield (S5) who are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support learners across primary to secondary age ranges.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive SEN setting, helping pupils with a range of additional needs to engage with learning and develop socially and emotionally.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs on a 1:1 and small group basis

  • Assisting with learning activities tailored to individual needs

  • Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation in line with school policies

  • Working closely with teachers and other support staff to provide consistent care

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has previous experience working with SEN learners (essential)

  • Is patient, resilient, and passionate about supporting young people

  • Team Teach training is highly desirable (but not essential)

  • Able to commit to the hours listed and start ASAP- Notice periods can be accommodated
