Job Title: 1:1 Primary Teaching Assistant - South Birmingham

Location: South Birmingham
Salary: £90 - £100 per day
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only

Tradewind Recruitment is looking for a caring and enthusiastic 1:1 Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Birmingham. This role involves providing dedicated support to a pupil with additional needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a positive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalised 1:1 support to a pupil with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Assist with classroom activities and adapt learning materials to suit individual needs.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning plans.
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
  • Track progress and share feedback with staff and parents.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children in a primary setting (SEN experience needed).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
