Tradewind recruitment are currently seeking dedicated and experienced 1:1 Learning Support Assistants to work across primary schools in South Liverpool.

This role involves providing tailored, one-to-one support for pupils with additional learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum, develop confidence, and reach their full potential in a supportive school environment.

You will need:

  • Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting

  • Hold a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent)

  • Have experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, or additional learning needs

  • Be patient, nurturing, and committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

  • Be able to work effectively as part of a classroom team while supporting individual learning plans

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing 1:1 support in and out of the classroom

  • Supporting learning, behaviour, and emotional development

  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO

  • Monitoring progress and contributing to reviews and reports
