Location: Cheshire West and Chester
Start Date: March 2026
Contract: Maternity cover - until end of academic year
Daily Rate: Up to £232.56 per day (depending on experience)

Tradewind Recruitment are working with a high-performing secondary school in Cheshire West and Chester to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Physics Teacher / Science Teacher for a long-term maternity cover position starting in March 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Science Teacher specialising in Physics to secure a well-paid, full-time supply role in a supportive and forward-thinking school environment.

The Role - Physics Teacher / Science Teacher

As a Science Teacher with a Physics specialism, you will be responsible for:

  • Teaching Physics and Science across KS3 and KS4

  • Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons

  • Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback

  • Maintaining high standards of classroom behaviour and learning

  • Working collaboratively with the science department

The Ideal Candidate

To be considered for this Physics Teacher role, you will need:

  • QTS or equivalent UK teaching qualification

  • Experience teaching Science / Physics at secondary level (KS3 & KS4)

  • Strong classroom management skills

  • A passion for Physics and inspiring young learners

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
