About the Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will lead small, structured classes, planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of your pupils. You will work closely with specialist staff and support colleagues to ensure every child achieves their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

Pupils may present with:

  • Autism and other neurodivergent profiles

  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs

  • ADHD and associated behavioural challenges

  • Communication and interaction difficulties

  • Learning difficulties and gaps in education due to disrupted schooling

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality, differentiated lessons for pupils with SEND

  • Lead and support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies

  • Promote independence, engagement, and self-esteem in every pupil

  • Build strong, professional relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet the holistic needs of learners

  • Maintain accurate records of progress and contribute to Individual Education Plans (IEPs)


The Ideal Candidate

We welcome applications from candidates who have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching children with SEND or SEMH needs

  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners

  • Experience in specialist education, SEMH settings, or therapeutic learning environments is highly desirable
