We are working closely with well-regarded further education colleges and sixth form providers in Milton Keynes who are looking to appoint dedicated and motivated Mathematics Lecturers from February 2026. These full-time opportunities are available on a long-term or permanent basis, within supportive and forward-thinking learning environments.

The Role

As a Mathematics Lecturer, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons to post-16 learners, including Level 2 and Level 3 courses (GCSE, A Level, Functional Skills, BTEC, or equivalent)

  • Teach across core areas of Mathematics, ensuring lessons align with awarding body specifications

  • Support learners in developing confidence, accuracy, and problem-solving skills

  • Use a range of teaching strategies to differentiate learning for students with varying abilities and aspirations

  • Monitor learner progress and provide clear, constructive feedback to support achievement and progression

  • Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment development, and continuous improvement within the Maths department

  • Support enrichment activities such as revision workshops, numeracy initiatives, or cross-department projects

The Ideal Candidate

You will have:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or willingness to work towards one)

  • A degree or strong subject background in Mathematics or a related discipline

  • Confidence teaching Mathematics to post-16 learners

  • An engaging, adaptable, and learner-focused teaching style

  • Strong communication and classroom management skills

  • A genuine enthusiasm for Maths education and learner success

  • A collaborative approach and commitment to departmental development

  • An open mindset, whether you are an experienced lecturer or transitioning from schools or industry
