Drama & Citizenship Teacher - Specialist School (West Lancashire)

We are working with a specialist school in West Lancashire to recruit a passionate and dedicated Drama and Citizenship Teacher.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive setting that caters for pupils with additional needs, where creativity, communication and personal development are at the heart of learning.

The role:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated Drama and Citizenship lessons

  • Support pupils' social, emotional and personal development through creative learning

  • Create a safe, inclusive and inspiring classroom environment

  • Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists and senior leaders

  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet a range of learning needs

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold QTS/QTLS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Have experience teaching Drama and/or Citizenship (mainstream or specialist settings considered)

  • Be confident working with pupils with SEND, SEMH or additional needs (or keen to develop this experience)

  • Be creative, patient and resilient, with a strong commitment to pupil wellbeing

  • Have excellent communication and classroom management skills
