Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting a committed and compassionate SEN Level 1 Teaching Assistant to work across specialist SEN provisions in the East Lindsey area of Lincolnshire. These settings support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and a range of Learning Disabilities, providing structured, inclusive, and supportive environments where children and young people are encouraged to develop confidence and independence.

The Role:

As an SEN Level 1 Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils with Autism and Learning Disabilities throughout the school day

  • Assist teachers and SEN staff in delivering personalised and engaging learning activities

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual needs

  • Encourage positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and social development

  • Help create a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment

  • Use a patient, consistent, and nurturing approach to support pupils with additional needs

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEN

  • Have experience within SEN or a willingness to develop knowledge of Autism and Learning Disabilities

  • Be adaptable and confident supporting individuals and small groups

  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and a caring, professional approach

  • Hold a Level 1 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant SEN experience (desirable but not essential)

  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply

  • Have the legal right to work in the UK

Pay:

£13.80 - £15.80 per hour, dependent on experience
