SEN Teaching Assistant - Sheffield


Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-regarded Trust of schools in Sheffield to recruit a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant.

This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils with special educational needs across a supportive and inclusive group of schools that genuinely values staff wellbeing and professional development.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties

  • Working 1:1 and in small groups to help pupils access the curriculum

  • Assisting the class teacher with behaviour support and tailored learning strategies

  • Creating a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (school-based or transferable experience considered)

  • A patient, resilient, and caring approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A genuine passion for making a difference in education
