Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant - Year 4

We are currently recruiting for a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil who presents with extremely challenging behaviour. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to a child's educational journey, supporting both their learning and emotional well-being.
The Role
You will:
Provide consistent 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil with significant behavioural challenges
Implement effective strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour
Work collaboratively with the class teacher and external professionals to deliver an individualised support plan
Support the pupil with academic tasks to promote engagement and progress
Help create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
Monitor, record, and report on behaviour, progress, and interventions
The Ideal Candidate
You will have:
Experience working with SEND and/or pupils with challenging behaviour
Team Teach training, or a willingness to complete training
A calm, patient, and proactive approach to behaviour management
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
A genuine commitment to supporting pupils' emotional and academic development
Flexibility and adaptability in response to changing situations
