Job Description

Science Teacher (All Sciences) - Salford

Start: After February Half Term
Duration:
Until the end of the academic year
Contract:
Full-time

A well-regarded secondary school in Salford is looking for a passionate and adaptable Science Teacher to join their supportive department after February half term, continuing through to the end of the academic year.

This isn't just a timetable-fill role - the department is made up of experienced practitioners who genuinely collaborate and share resources. The school is keen to find someone who enjoys bringing Science to life, whether that's through practical investigations, real-world applications or simply building student's confidence in a subject they may find challenging.

You'll be teaching across KS3 and KS4, with flexibility around specialism (Biology, Chemistry or Physics), and will have access to well-equipped labs and established schemes of work.

What the school is looking for:

  • A qualified teacher (QTS) who can teach general Science confidently
  • Someone who builds positive classroom relationships quickly
  • A teacher who balances high expectations with being approachable
  • Strong behaviour management with a calm, consistent presence

This role would suit someone who values being part of a team and wants the security of a longer-term placement without the pressure of a permanent commitment.
