Primary SEND Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Enfield to recruit a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis, starting as soon as possible.
This role is ideal for someone experienced in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH, within a mainstream primary setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND
Support children with additional learning, communication, and emotional needs
Implement individual education and behaviour support plans
Assist the class teacher in adapting lessons to meet pupils' needs
Support positive behaviour and engagement in learning
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and parents
Requirements:
Previous experience working with primary SEND pupils
Understanding of ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language needs
Patient, proactive, and nurturing approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Available full time and able to start ASAP
