Reception Teacher - Acton


Acton | April Start | Full-Time | 2-Form Entry Primary School

Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-regarded 2-form entry primary school in Acton to appoint a Reception Teacher on a full-time, permanent basis from April.

The Role

As Reception Teacher, you will:

  • Take full class responsibility for a Reception class of 18 pupils
  • Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with the EYFS framework
  • Assess and track pupil progress effectively
  • Work collaboratively with the parallel Reception teacher
  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers
  • Contribute to staff meetings, INSET and whole-school initiatives

There may also be the opportunity to take on subject leadership responsibility, depending on your experience and interests.

The school is looking for someone who can provide structure, creativity and consistency within Early Years while maintaining high expectations for behaviour and learning.

Requirements

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold UK QTS
  • Have strong and recent EYFS teaching experience
  • Demonstrate secure knowledge of early phonics and early maths development
  • Be confident managing routines and behaviour in Reception
  • Show strong organisational skills and a collaborative approach
  • Be committed to a permanent position from April

This role would suit an experienced Reception teacher or a confident practitioner ready to take on additional responsibility.
