Early Years Teaching Assistant - Southwark - Long Term Role

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and community-focused mainstream primary school in the London Borough of Southwark.

This is a long-term opportunity starting after February half term and continuing for the remainder of the academic year.

The Role:

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting pupils within the Early Years setting, working closely with the class teacher to create a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. The role will involve providing targeted support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), so previous SEN experience is highly desirable.

Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm
Start Date: After February Half Term
Duration: Until July (end of academic year)
Daily Rate: From £100 per day PAYE (equivalent to approximately £120 per day via Umbrella)

The Ideal Educator Will:

  • Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within an Early Years setting

  • Have experience supporting children with SEN

  • Hold a CACHE Level 3 qualification (or similar) - desirable but not essential

  • Be patient, proactive, and passionate about supporting young learners

  • Be able to work effectively as part of a team
