Tradewind Recruitment, Manchester's leading education agency, is seeking an experienced and dedicated KS2 Specialist Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic primary school in South Manchester.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with Autism, delivering targeted 1:1 and small group interventions to help them achieve their full potential in a highly supportive and inclusive school environment.

The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 support for KS2 pupils with Autism

  • Deliver small group interventions tailored to individual learning needs

  • Support pupils' academic progress, emotional development, and independence

  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support team

  • Help maintain a calm, structured, and positive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Be:

  • Experienced supporting children with Autism, ideally within KS2

  • Proactive and able to use initiative

  • Patient, nurturing, and understanding

  • Supportive, reliable, and committed

  • Confident delivering targeted interventions

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally supporting SEN

  • Strong understanding of Autism and effective support strategies

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
