Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - Middleton

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and forward-thinking Secondary School in Middleton. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated education professional who is ready to make an immediate impact.

The role is available to start as soon as possible, offering daily pay between £95 and £100, dependent on experience.

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4. Working closely with class teachers and the wider pastoral team, you will:

  • Provide in-class support across a range of subjects

  • Deliver targeted interventions to small groups and individual pupils

  • Support students with additional learning needs, including SEND

  • Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

  • Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment

This is a hands-on role requiring confidence, adaptability and a proactive approach.

Essential Requirements

Please note: Only candidates with prior experience working in schools or the education sector will be considered.

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Have proven experience working within a school setting (secondary preferred)

  • Demonstrate strong classroom management skills

  • Be confident supporting pupils with varying abilities and needs

  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)

  • Provide relevant professional references
