EYFS Teacher (Reception) | Stevenage | April 13th 2026 Start | MPS/UPS £33,000-£52,000 | Small 1-Form Entry Primary | QTS Teachers Only (Not Suitable for ECTs)
Tradewind Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a welcoming, community-driven primary school in Stevenage to appoint a skilled EYFS Teacher for their Reception class starting 13th April 2026 (after Easter). The school is conveniently located just a short drive from Hitchin, Harpenden and Luton.
This small 1-form entry school offers a close-knit, supportive environment where every child is known as an individual. Staff work collaboratively to create a nurturing atmosphere that allows pupils to grow in confidence, develop independence and build strong foundations for lifelong learning.
The curriculum is broad, engaging and carefully structured to spark curiosity while ensuring academic progress. With strong leadership and positive relationships with families, the school provides an excellent setting for an experienced Reception teacher ready to contribute from day one.
The Role:
Full class teaching responsibility within Reception
Delivering high-quality EYFS provision in line with statutory guidance
Creating an engaging, stimulating and language-rich environment
Monitoring progress and supporting children's personal and academic development
Working closely with colleagues and parents to ensure positive outcomes
The Ideal Candidate:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Proven experience teaching Reception
Strong knowledge of early years practice and phonics
A nurturing, proactive and reflective approach
Ready to make an immediate impact from the Summer Term
Salary will be in line with the Main or Upper Pay Scale (£33,000-£52,000 depending on experience).
