Job Description

We are seeking experienced and reliable Tutors to support pupils referred by Local Education Authorities across Greater Manchester. This role involves working with students who are out of mainstream education due to SEND, SEMH, EBSA, exclusion or medical needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity for tutors who can deliver structured, personalised learning and demonstrate measurable progress over time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 tuition in core subjects (English, Maths and/or Science)

  • Plan engaging, differentiated lessons based on pupil need and EHCP targets where applicable

  • Establish clear learning objectives for each session

  • Track academic progress against baseline assessments

  • Complete regular progress reports for the Local Authority

  • Maintain accurate session records and attendance logs

  • Adapt delivery to support pupils with SEND, SEMH or additional needs

  • Build positive, professional relationships with pupils

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant tutoring experience

  • Strong understanding of inclusive practice

  • Experience working with vulnerable or hard-to-reach pupils

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)

  • Reliable, organised and able to work independently
