Team Teach Teaching Assistant - Bristol
Flexible Work | Full-Time & Part-Time Available | Term-Time Only

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for Team Teach trained Teaching Assistants to support a range of specialist schools and alternative provisions across Bristol and South Gloucestershire. This role offers flexible day-to-day and short-term bookings, making it ideal for experienced TAs who enjoy working in different settings, with the potential for longer-term placements where suitable.

You will be supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism (ASC), ADHD and other additional learning needs, helping them to regulate behaviour, engage with learning and feel safe within the classroom environment.

This is a rewarding role suited to someone who is calm, resilient and confident managing behaviour positively, using Team Teach strategies to support pupils effectively.

The Role

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
  • Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons
  • Using Team Teach strategies to support behaviour and de-escalation
  • Helping pupils regulate emotions and remain engaged with learning
  • Supporting a safe, structured and nurturing classroom environment

The Ideal Candidate

✔ Team Teach trained (essential or recently expired)
✔ Experience supporting pupils with SEMH, ASC or additional needs
✔ Confident supporting pupils who may present with challenging behaviour
✔ Flexible, reliable and adaptable
✔ Passionate about supporting children and young people
