Learning Support Assistant

Hours: Full-time

The Role
Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming Primary school in Ipswich to recruit a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant. You will play a vital role in supporting pupils' learning, development, and wellbeing, helping them to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils, including those with SEN or additional needs
Support pupils with classroom activities, engagement, and behaviour
Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and preparation
Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development
The Ideal Candidate
Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable but not essential)
A patient, caring, and proactive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for supporting children's learning
A strong commitment to safeguarding and child protection
Requirements
Right to work in the UK
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
References covering the last two years
