Hours: Monday - Wednesday (08:30 - 12:30)

Contract Dates: 12th April - 26th July (Summer Term)

Are you looking for a rewarding Summer Term role that combines higher-level responsibility with specialist SEN support? We are seeking a dedicated HLTA / SEN Teaching Assistant to join an innovation-led primary school in Fleetwood.

This is a dynamic hybrid role starting 12th April and running through to 26th July. You will provide HLTA support within a Reception setting and a specialised SEN room, while stepping in as a Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support where needed.

Your Summer Term Responsibilities

  • HLTA Leadership: Lead small groups and provide cover within the Reception cohort and the Specialised SEN unit, ensuring high-quality learning continues through the final term of the academic year.
  • SEN Specialist Support: Work within a unit of 12 pupils (split into two rooms of 6). You will support a mixed-age cohort with complex needs, including Autism (ASD) and non-verbal communication profiles.
  • Flexible Support: Adapt your approach daily, transitioning between lead support and 1:1 assistance based on the immediate needs of the pupils and the school.

About You

  • Experience: Prior experience with SEN (ASD and non-verbal profiles) is essential.
  • Qualifications: Ideally HLTA qualified or an experienced TA with a proven track record of leading groups.
  • Reliability: You must be able to commit to the Monday - Wednesday (08:30 - 12:30) schedule from 12th April to 26th July.
