Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming nursery provision within a primary school in Walthamstow, Waltham Forest, which is seeking a passionate EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team from March 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant who is enthusiastic about Early Years education and enjoys supporting young children as they begin their learning journey. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and the wider EYFS team to help deliver engaging and stimulating learning experiences within the nursery environment.

The role will involve supporting children through play-based learning activities, encouraging early communication and language development, and helping pupils develop confidence, independence and positive social skills. The EYFS Teaching Assistant will support the delivery of activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, assist with classroom organisation and help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

To be considered for this EYFS Teaching Assistant role in Walthamstow, candidates must have:

  • A minimum of 6 months' experience working in an EYFS setting

  • A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification, such as:

    • Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate/Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools

    • Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education (Early Years Educator)

    • T Level in Education and Early Years

  • A strong understanding of the EYFS framework

  • A nurturing, patient and enthusiastic approach when working with young children

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

This is a full-time position (32.5 hours per week), term time only, offering a daily rate of £95.
