Primary Teacher - Year 5 (Part-Time, Long-Term) - Faversham

Contract Type: Part-time, Long-term
Start Date: Easter 2026 - End of the Academic Year
Working Pattern: 3 days per week

The Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 5 Primary Teacher to join a welcoming school in Faversham from Easter until the end of the academic year. This is a long-term role with full teaching responsibilities, ideal for a passionate teacher who is committed to delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils in Key Stage 2.

The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the class and play a key role in supporting pupils through an important stage of their learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Year 5.
  • Take full class teacher responsibilities, including lesson planning, assessment, and reporting.
  • Prepare and write end-of-term reports.
  • Attend and contribute to parents' evenings.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support pupil development.
  • Participate in relevant school meetings and professional development.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2.
  • Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage pupils.

Requirements to Join Us

  • An Enhanced child-only DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional references covering the last two years.
  • If you do not currently hold a DBS, we can help you obtain one and reimburse the £62 fee after completing 20 days of work with us.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
