Tradewind Recruitment are seeking two passionate and dedicated English Teachers to join a thriving secondary academy in Manchester from 20 April 2026 on a long‑term supply basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to teach Key Stage 4 English, including GCSE, in a supportive and inclusive learning community. The school has a Good Ofsted rating and prides itself on fostering positive behaviour, respect and strong relationships across the whole school.
The Role
* Full‑time English Teacher - long‑term supply from 20/4/26
* Deliver high‑quality English lessons with a focus on GCSE English Language and Literature
* Plan, adapt and deliver engaging, challenging lessons that support student progress
* Confident behaviour management and use of effective assessment strategies
* Work collaboratively with the English department to support curriculum delivery
* Applicants must have experience teaching English at GCSE level in UK secondary schools

Requirements
* UK QTS or QTLS (or equivalent UK teaching qualification)
* Experience teaching GCSE English in a UK secondary school
* Legal right to work in the UK
* Enhanced DBS (or willing to complete one) and satisfactory professional references
* CV with full education and employment history (including any gaps)
