Science Teacher
Location: Chelmsford
Start Date: Summer Term, after Easter

Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-supported secondary school in Chelmsford that are looking to appoint committed Science Teachers from after Easter. These opportunities are available on both a permanent and long-term basis, depending on your preference and experience.

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (with potential for KS5 depending on experience)
  • Inspire curiosity through practical investigations, experiments, and real-world scientific applications
  • Differentiate effectively to support learners of varying abilities, including SEND students
  • Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment development, and departmental initiatives
  • Support enrichment opportunities such as STEM clubs, trips, and extra-curricular activities

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Holds QTS, QTLS, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics (specialists and generalists welcome)
  • Demonstrates effective classroom management and the ability to engage students of all abilities
  • Passionate about raising attainment and promoting a love of Science
  • A collaborative team player who contributes positively to department and whole-school life
