Tradewind Recruitment is working with a well-regarded secondary school in Wellingborough to appoint a confident and capable English Instructor from April or September 2026. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent.

The school is seeking someone who can take ownership of classes, deliver pre-planned content, and contribute to a positive and structured learning environment.

The Role:

  • Lead English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 using department schemes of work

  • Deliver both English Language and Literature content in an engaging and accessible way

  • Support students in developing key literacy and analytical skills

  • Adapt delivery to meet the needs of mixed-ability groups, including those with additional needs

  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a focused learning environment

About You:

  • Experience working as an English Instructor, cover supervisor, or in a similar classroom-based role

  • Strong subject knowledge in English

  • Confident delivering lessons and managing a classroom independently

  • Reliable, adaptable, and committed to supporting student achievement

  • A degree in English or a related subject is desirable
