A 2-form entry primary school in Barnet is seeking a talented and committed Year 3 Teacher to join their team for the academic year, with the possibility of the role becoming permanent.

This is a fantastic opportunity for both ECTs and experienced primary teachers. The school has a well-established senior leadership team, a creative atmosphere, and a strong reputation for supporting staff at all stages of their career. For teachers at the start of their career, the school can offer full ECT induction.

The successful candidate will take on a lovely Year 3 class who have made strong progress so far and are well prepared for the next stage of their learning. There are some pupils with additional needs in the class, supported by a Teaching Assistant who works closely with them.

The school is based in a lovely area of Barnet and offers a positive and well-resourced teaching environment, including excellent classroom resources, a playing field, parking on site, and good public transport links.

The school is looking for a creative, dedicated and enthusiastic Year 3 Teacher who can deliver engaging lessons and continue the strong progress already made. A subject specialism would be highly valued, particularly in PE or Art.

Person specification

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or currently completing teacher training

  • Suitable for ECTs and experienced teachers

  • Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum

  • Creative, committed and reflective classroom practitioner

  • Able to support a range of needs within the classroom

  • A subject strength in PE or Art would be an advantage
