Maths Teacher

Tradewind are working with a independent specialist residential school for boys aged 11 - 18 with social, emotional and mental health needs, including those with harmful sexualised behaviour that is based in acton green, worcestershire.

The provisions is part of a small community where professionals from the three disciplines of Education, Therapy and Care work together to achieve the best outcomes for young people who, because of the difficulties they have experienced, have been unable to remain in mainstream education.

The school believe that with the right support all learners are capable of developing the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to become happy and productive members of society.

The school are looking for a full time Maths Teacher to start as soon as possible. The school do follow the national curriculum so prior experience teaching maths across KS3 & KS4 is essential. They school have expressed a desire for the candidate to have some knowledge or experience of computing in addition, but this is not essential.

It isn't essential to have previously worked within an SEMH provision, but you would need to have strong behaviour management, a real passion and desire to help support these students and support them through there exams and a level of empathy and understanding for pupils who have social, emotional and mental health.

The school is looking for someone to start as soon as possible and there is a vacancy within the school in order to offer temp to perm for the right candidate.
