Are you a Level 2 or Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner seeking a stable, full-time role for the summer term?
A Blackpool based Primary is looking for a high-energy EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant nursery setting. This is a consistent, full-time contract starting April 2026 through to July 2026, offering the perfect bridge into the new academic year.
Role Overview: Consistency & Stability
To provide our 3 and 4-year-old children with the essential consistency they need to thrive and feel secure, this role offers a reliable, set daily schedule.
Pay: £14.24 - £15.00 per hour (Dependent on experience/qualification)
Hours: 08:30 - 15:30
Days: Monday - Friday (Full-Time, 32.5 hours per week)
Status: Term Time Only, Temporary contract.
Location: Blackpool Academy (Primary)
Contract: April 2026 - July 2026
The Summer Opportunity: Get Your Foot in the Door
While this contract runs until the end of the summer term, it represents a strategic career move. Joining us in April allows you to:
Secure your September spot: Schools traditionally finalise their 2026/27 staffing structures during the summer term. Getting your foot in the door and supporting for the summer term is a great way to be considered to return in the new academic year!
Build Relationships: Showcase your skills to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and build a rapport with the children and parents before the new intake.
Trial the School: Ensure the school culture is the right fit for your long-term career goals before committing to a new academic year.
The Role: Inspiring 3 & 4-Year-Olds
We need a "ready-to-go" educator who enjoys the routine of a structured nursery day. You will lead small group activities, maintain high-quality care, and ensure the setting meets all staff-to-child ratios.
We are looking for an EYFS specialist who is:
Qualified: Must hold a recognised EYFS qualification (L2/3 CACHE or NVQ).
Reliable: Committed to full-time hours to provide a stable environment for our learners.
Enthusiastic: Someone who brings stories and games to life with a "can-do" attitude.
Creative: Capable of turning a cardboard box into a rocket ship and following a child's lead.
Our Curriculum & Setting
At Blackpool Academy, we blend play with purposeful learning. You will be actively involved in:
Talk for Writing: Using imitation and story mapping to help children "learn" stories.
Phonics: Supporting daily systematic phonics and "keep-up" sessions.
Maths Mastery: Focusing on a deep understanding of numbers 0-10 through play.
Continuous Provision: Organising high-quality texts and "exciting hooks" to engage learners.
