Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a qualified and passionate Design & Technology Teacher to work in secondary schools in the Chelmsford. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic DT specialist looking for a new role, whether you are an experienced teacher or an ECT.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality Design & Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. The role may involve teaching areas such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, or Engineering, depending on your specialism and the needs of the school.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative and engaging DT lessons
  • Teach across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
  • Contribute to the wider life of the department and school

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Design & Technology in a UK secondary school
  • Strong subject knowledge in at least one DT specialism
  • Good classroom management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
