Biology Teacher - High-Achieving Independent School

Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a well-regarded independent school in Oldham to recruit a Biology Teacher for an immediate start after Easter. This is a 3.5-day per week role for approximately 4 weeks, covering a temporary staff absence.

Daily rate: £150 to £220 per day (depending on experience)

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Biology specialist who enjoys teaching across a full age range, including A Level, in a focused and academically driven environment.

The role
Teaching Biology across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5
Part-time - 3.5 days per week
Starting after the Easter break for approximately 4 weeks
Delivering engaging lessons to motivated and high-achieving students
A strong focus on subject knowledge, particularly at A Level

The timetable includes a significant amount of sixth form teaching, so confidence with A Level Biology is essential. Experience with exam board specifications (such as AQA) would be beneficial.

The school is keen to hear from Early Career Teachers, experienced QTS practitioners, and FE specialists with experience teaching Biology to students aged 11-18.

To be considered for this Biology Teacher role, you will need to:
Hold QTS, QTLS or an equivalent teaching qualification
Have experience teaching Biology at KS3, KS4 and ideally KS5
Be able to provide references covering recent teaching experience
Hold (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS
Have the legal right to work in the UK
